Your classroom will be set up with an Epson interactive projector, Aver Media USB document camera and either a Windows desktop/Chromebook setup or MacBook/Apple TV setup.
For Classrooms with the MacBook/Apple TV:
Setup your MacBook
First, please watch this video for help signing in to your MacBook, Chrome and getting your backup drive setup.
Casting/Screen Mirroring
You can wirelessly “cast” or “screen share” your macbook to your Apple TV. Please watch the video below for a demonstration.
Document Camera
You can also wirelessly display your document camera. Click here for a demo.
You must download and install the document camera software. View the Install Help link below for a guide on how to install the software on your MacBook.
Admin on Demand
AoD is a feature we have deployed that will allow you temporary admin privileges to your computer in order to install software, make updates, etc.
Interactive mode for projector
You can also connect your MacBook to the projector for interactive mode, but this requires that you be connected to the projector via USB connection. Click here for a video demonstration.
In this mode, you are still casting your screen wirelessly to the Apple TV, but you are adding the ability to interact with your MacBook using your pens while at the whiteboard.
The USB connection should be coming out of a wall box somewhere in the room. If you can’t find this connection, please send technology a support ticket and we’ll help you.
For Classrooms with the Windows Desktop/ChromeBook setup:
Your desktop will be connected directly to the projector. Your projector will act as a second monitor for your desktop. This setup offers interactive mode, but no wireless casting or screen sharing. You will also have a wireless keyboard w/trackpad to allow for more mobility.
