Every teacher should have the ability to reset their students' passwords. If you notice that you are missing this functionality, please let the technology department know and we'll get you the correct permissions. This will help us get students going faster in case they forget their Google login during class.
- Go to admin.google.com or visit the Google Admin bookmark in your managed RISD Bookmarks.
- Use the search bar to find the student that needs their password reset.
- Click "Reset Password" on the left side when you are viewing the student's profile.
- Click "Create password" and have the student type it in themselves, or tell you what they would like as their permanent password.
When the student tries to sign in, they might be asked for their old password. They should click "forgot old password", then proceed to bypass that requirement.
